Hear the legend of of the Indian paint brush; get up close and personal with a variety of Texas butterflies; watch a magnificent garden spider looking for a meal---all on the quarter mile nature and history walk on the grounds of the Historic Park Hotel, Tuleta.
Stroll among the wildflowers and native plants edging the pathway and hear some of the myths and stories that have accompanied them down through the ages.
Look over into the community of Tuleta and hear its fascinating history. Founded by Mennonite religious leaders in the late 1800's, the small village once boasted nearly a dozen businesses and fruit orchards. No more. The Historic Park Hotel is one of the few remaining businesses.
Tuleta is now a quiet little settlement with a big history located on busy State Highway 181 that would really enjoy your visit!
Cost of Interpretive Walk: 12 years and under, no fee. Above 12 years, $3.00 each.
